OVERVIEW

With 500 employees, 19 acres under roof, and producing upwards of 50 million board feet of finished products each year, AHF Products' production facility in Beverly, WV is the largest hardwood flooring plant in North America. Like many companies in the forest products and manufacturing industries, AHF Products faced challenges finding and retaining the skilled labor needed to sustain their high production volumes. As they worked to ensure long-term viability for their plant, AHF Products partnered with MiCROTEC and Eagle Machinery & Supply to automate their high-volume production lines. By installing four MiCROTEC Woodeye scanners and a compliment of secondary processing equipment from Eagle Machinery & Supply, AHF was able to reduce their headcount on these production lines by 43%. Furthermore, since AHF had been operating at a staffing deficit, this automation effort did not cost any employees their jobs, but rather reallocated staff to safer and less physically demanding roles.

We partnered with the MiCROTEC marketing team to tell this success story by producing a compelling customer testimonial film and capturing a series of brand and product photography. The resulting video and photos will be leveraged by MiCROTEC and Eagle Machinery & Supply across a series of marketing campaigns, featured articles, and on their website to promote the power of their "World leading wood scanning solutions".
