Located in Northwest Pennsylvania, Horizon Wood Products is right in the heart of the hardwood action. Their sawmill produces high-quality hardwood boules, flitches, lumber, and specialty wood products. While their primary website promotes the company as a whole, they also have a separate online inventory website that acts as a digital showroom for their specialty products.

 

When the team from Horizon approached us, they were looking to give this online inventory website a refresh that would improve the customer experience and add back-end features to streamline business operations. Over the course of a 10 month project, we designed and developed the new online inventory website from the ground up with an emphasis on clean visual design and an intuitive user experience. One of the most valuable features of the new website was the ability for customers to request a quote for these specialty products and receive a real-time estimate, complete with freight rates thanks to a custom integration with their freight forwarder’s API.
