Located in the heart of Kentucky, Brewco has established itself as a leader in the sawmill equipment industry since it was founded by Clarence Brewer Sr in 1990. Recognized for pioneering Thin-Kerf Resaw technology, Brewco has continually adapted to meet the evolving demands of the wood products industry. With a commitment to innovation and quality, Brewco delivers high-performance sawmill solutions designed to maximize yield, minimize waste, and enhance operational efficiency.

 

In response to the need for a more cohesive and robust market presence, Brewco partnered with Heartwood Brands for a comprehensive brand refresh. Our collaboration was aimed at refining Brewco's brand strategy and visual identity to better reflect their industry-leading technology and commitment to customer partnership. The refreshed brand strategy and visual identity was crafted to resonate with key stakeholders across various sectors of the wood products industry, emphasizing Brewco's role not just as a manufacturer but as a long-term partner dedicated to their customers' ongoing success. The revamped brand identity was designed to align with Brewco’s forward-looking vision, emphasizing their innovative solutions and trusted expertise, thereby reinforcing their position as a cornerstone in sawmill technology.

THE CHALLENGE

With a 35 year history and two previous logos, the Brewco's identity needed a careful update to stay relevant and impactful. Our directive was to refresh the logo in a way that honored the company’s legacy while addressing specific structural issues. This included enhancing the legibility of the company name by creating a clear separation between the typography and the wolf symbol, refining the wolf silhouette to incorporate sharp edges reminiscent of saw blades, and developing a custom typeface that felt appropriately sturdy and industrial.

Brand Collateral

We worked closely with Brewco's team to design a custom trade show booth along with a comprehensive suite of brand collateral to equip them with all the necessary tools to make a significant impact at upcoming industry events and conventions.

Brand Manual

To ensure consistent and effective application of Brewco’s refreshed brand identity across all marketing channels, we developed a comprehensive Digital Brand Manual. This essential tool empowers the Brewco team to confidently execute their branding with precision and uniformity. The manual provides detailed guidelines on the appropriate usage of all brand assets, including logos, color schemes, typography, and additional brand elements. It also outlines the photographic style that aligns with the brand’s revamped identity, ensuring every aspect of Brewco's communication is coherent and on-brand.
